TEMPE, Ariz.—Sun Devil Athletics kicks off the 2017 Sun Devil Caravan featuring appearances by Vice President for University Athletics Ray Anderson, several Sun Devil head coaches, Sparky, the marching band and spirit squad, the 942 crew and a number of other Sun Devil student-athletes and coaches.
The caravan will bring the Sun Devil Athletics experience directly to the fans and allow Sun Devil Nation to connect one-on-one with coaches, student-athletes, and administrators across Arizona and Southern California.
The 2017 Sun Devil Caravan kicks off in Mesa on May 10 and will visit a total of seven (7) locations in Arizona and Southern California: Mesa (May 10), Scottsdale (May 12), Anthem (May 16), Queen Creek (May 17), Phoenix (May 19), Southern California (May 23), and Yuma, AZ (May 24).
The Sun Devil Caravan includes a Sparky's Tour for kids, a Sun Devils Serve service project, and an evening Sun Devil VIP Meet and Greet.
Sparky's Tour, which has traveled locally around Phoenix for several years, is a pep-rally and youth education assembly where Sun Devil student-athletes interact with children and teach the value of personal character and healthy living.
The caravan closes with the Sun Devil VIP Meet and Greet where alumni and donors will have a chance to meet and interact with Sun Devil coaches, administrators, and student-athletes.
