TEMPE, Ariz. – The Arizona State beach volleyball team (12-14, 1-3 Pac-12) will finish the 2017 regular season at home this weekend at the PERA Club, playing a combined three matches Friday and Saturday.
The Sun Devils will face New Mexico for the second time this season, plus Pac-12 rivals California and Stanford. The New Mexico and California matches are on Friday at 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. PT, respectively. ASU faces Stanford on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. PT.
ABOUT NEW MEXICO
The Lobos (14-9) extended its winning streak over the weekend to seven straight matches, as it captured a pair of wins over UT Martin and UAB on Saturday.
New Mexico made quick work of the UT Martin Skyhawks in a dominating 5-0 sweep. The win was the Lobo's ninth sweep of the season. In a rematch of Friday night's showdown, the Lobos captured the upper hand in a 3-2 victory over UAB. The No. 4 pair of Julia Warren and Lauren Twitty earned their eighth straight win via a 21-19, 20-22, 15-8 victory. Their eight wins in a row is the second-longest streak in program history.

The Bears (13-7, 2-1 Pac-12) are coming off a perfect weekend at the Stanford Tournament, completing the competition Saturday by defeating Boise State and Oregon by scores of 3-2 and 4-1, respectively. They began the weekend defeating Washington on their home court.
The Bears notched victories early against the Broncos on the No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 courts. Cal's No. 4 all-freshman pair of Nicole Anderson and Iya Lindahl and the No. 5 pair of Teya Neff and Bridget Gustafson are tied for a team-best 15-6 record this season.

The Cardinal (12-6, 3-3 Pac-12) wrapped up their home schedule Tuesday night in a loss to the undefeated, No. 1 USC Trojans. The Cardinal were swept for the second time this season.

The Sun Devils had a successful road trip to California last weekend, capturing a pair of victories over Concordia-Irvine and Cal State Northridge Friday afternoon.
The Sun Devils started the day in dominating fashion, sweeping Concordia-Irvine, 5-0, in straight sets on each of the respective five courts.
The prolific senior duo of Bianca Arellano and Whitney Follette then played hero, garnering the match-decided point in a highly contested 3-2 mid-afternoon victory over Cal State Northridge. Battling wire-to-wire with the Matadors' Julie Haake and Katie Sato, the Sun Devils' top pair survived with a 15-11 third set win to collect the pivotal point. Also picking up points in the second dual of the afternoon were the No. 2 pair of Ellyson Lundberg and Katelyn Carballo (21-11, 21-19) and the No. 3 pair of Oluoma Okaro and Madison Berridge (21-10, 15-21, 15-9).
