SAN FRANCISCO – As announced by the Pac-12 conference following the completion of the 2016-17 Men's Swimming & Diving Season, four Sun Devils earned First Team honors, four Second Team honors, and four more received Honorable Mention.
To be eligible for selection to the All-Academic team, student-athletes had to post a 3.0 GPA or higher and participate in at least 50% of regular season meets.
Richard Bohus was part of four All-American relay teams, earning two individual Honorable Mention titles, while Thibaut Capitaine had the second highest GPA among the entire team. Patrick Park was also part of three All-American relay squads.
Heikki Makikallio competed in his second consecutive NCAA championships in 2017, while David Hoffer competed in two different events for the first time at NCAA's.
The Sun Devil men were named the nation's most improved team in 2016-17, earning two individual and one relay Pac-12 title as well as eight All-Americans. The men improved 30 spots at NCAA's from a season ago.
