KAPALUA, HAWAI'I – Following the second day of competition, a third Sun Devil joined the top five as now three of the top five individuals at the Anuenue Spring Break Classic are Sun Devils.
Linnea Strom shot a career-low 65 to jump from a tie for 33rd all the way into a tie for second place with teammate Olivia Mehaffey, who shot a 70, two strokes lower than her first-round score. Mehaffey's second-round score was the second lowest of her collegiate career.
Monica Vaughn sits just one stroke behind Mehaffey overall, in fifth place, shooting a 72 on day two. For the tournament, Strom and Mehaffey are two strokes under par (142) while Vaughn is one stroke under (143).
Sophia Zeeb also improved 12 spots in individual standings in the second round.
ASU shot the second lowest round of the day and tournament as a team, moving up from fourth to second place, good for the team's third-lowest team round this season in tournament play.
The third and final round of the tournament will start Wednesday morning with a shotgun start at 7:45 am HST/10:45 am MST with live scoring HERE.
