Seattle, Wash.-- The No. 21 Arizona State softball team fell to Washington in a pair of games Sunday to close out the opening weekend of Pac-12 play. The Sun Devils (19-8, 0-3) fell to the sixth-ranked Huskies in game one of the Sunday doubleheader, 4-0, before dropping the final game of the series 1-0 at Husky Softball Stadium

The Huskies jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning in game one, and never looked back. The Sun Devils looked to get things going in the top of the fourth, working a runner into scoring position, but the UW defense was there to snuff out the would be comeback.
After adding a run in the fourth, the Huskies closed out the final two frames to pick up the series clinching win.
