TEMPE, Ariz. -- Arizona State Softball extended their win streak to five games Saturday afternoon with a 4-2 win over Indiana in the first of two games for the Sun Devils at Farrington Stadium.

Junior pitcher Dale Ryndak (2-0) threw her second complete game of the weekend finishing the day allowing just two runs on five hits while tallying five strikeouts in the win.

The Sun Devils failed to score the game's first run, marking the first time this season that an opponent has scored first. The Hoosiers plated a run on a sacrifice fly by Rachel O'Malley in the top of the second to give Indiana an early 1-0 lead.

Arizona State responded with a run of their own to tie the game in the bottom of the second, but jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the home half of the third, when senior shortstop Chelsea Gonzalez launched a three run homer to left. The home run was the first of the season for Gonzales, who hit 12 a year ago.

The long ball this afternoon was Gonzales' 32nd career home run and moved her into 14th place on the all-time career home runs list in ASU softball history. The senior trails 13th place Cheyenne Coyle by just one, and is just three homers away from cracking the top-10.

Following the one run in the second, Ryndak took over the game, allowing just three hits in the final five innings of the game.

The Sun Devils will be back in action in the second half of the Saturday doubleheader with a 4:30 p.m. tilt against UT-Arlington. Fans can follow all of the action from this afternoon's game by following @ASUSoftball on Twitter.
