The older girls have really embraced both Coach Shinohara and I, and are working very hard to get into excellent soccer condition. I am confident that with the leadership of our returning players and this latest recruiting class, we can improve our position within the Pac-12 and nationally."
GABRIELLE BRISENO
A 5'2" center mid who can also play on the back line, Gabrielle lives in Gilbert where she attends Campo Verde High School. With her high school team, Gabrielle was named the offensive player of the year in 2014, and won the Coach's Award in 2015. She was a second team All-District selection in 2014 and 2015, and a second-team All-Section selection in 2014 before being named to the First-Team All-Section squad in 2015 where she played a pivotal role in leading her team to the state finals. Gabrielle played with the Arizona Thunder club team that also reached the state championship game in 2015.
Born on August 24, 1999 to parents Michael and Randi Briseno, Gabrielle is one of six children with siblings, Shaw (23), Sebrina Rodriguez (19), Mikel (15), Grace (13) and Nathan (11). Having attended ASU football and soccer games since she was young, Gabrielle did not want to go anywhere else but to ASU. Gabrielle would like to pursue a degree in the medical field and has interests in one day becoming a physician's assistant, physical therapist or a nurse practitioner. She currently volunteers at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, but when she is not in school or volunteering, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
JESSICA HALE
A 5'3" defender/forward from Phoenix, Arizona, Jessica attends Desert Vista High School. She has played soccer at the varsity level all four seasons in high school, and was a Tempe All-City athlete in 2016 and has been an All-Arizona Interscholastic Athlete all four years of her high school career. In 2015 and '16 she was listed as one of the best XI at the Arizona Showcase. In 2015 her school was runner up at state before winning the state championship in 2016. Jessica is the team captain for her club team, Ahwatukee Foothills, who is the current four-time reigning state champions (2013-2016).
Born March 7, 1999 to parents John and Helen Hale, Jessica is following in her family's footsteps as both her parents attended ASU. She has one older brother Nicholas (20). Jessica plans to pursue a degree in the engineering field while studying at the Barrett Honors College. In her free time, Jessica enjoys reading, hiking and traveling.
SAMANTHA HOBERT
A 5'8" center forward from southern California, Samantha was a four-year starting varsity soccer player. She was a First-Team All-League Division I member, a Trinity League first-team all-league selection and a scholar athlete. She was also team captain twice and made a CIF appearance all four years. She helped lead her club team to a fifth-place finish at the U16 ECNL National Championships as she did win three club championships with her club.
Born October 12, 1998 to parents Billy Joe and Danielle Hobert. Samantha is one of five children with siblings Taylor (24), Kennedy (22), Mackenzie (20) and Joey (15). Samantha is very driven in the classroom and plans to study law and business. When she is not playing soccer, or studying she enjoys singing, hanging out with friends and watching football and hockey.
AUBREE INCARDONE
A local product out of Mesa, Arizona, Aubree is a 5'7" center forward and a dual sport student-athlete at Red Mountain High School. While also competing on the pitch, Incardone also ran track and competed at state in the 4x100 relay her freshman year. On the soccer pitch, she was named her team's offensive MVP in the 2014-15 year and served as the squad's captain this past season. Her club team, SC Del Sol, won the State Title three consecutive seasons from 2010 to 2012. In 2010, Aubree was named her club's Female Player of the Year in 2010. She has also played the ODP state team three different years.
Born January 16, 1999 to parents Brent and Shelley Incardone, Aubree has two younger sisters, Kortnee (15) and Sophee (9). Aubree wanted to play for ASU since she was little. She would like to major in nursing. In addition to playing soccer Aubree likes to read, hike, listen to music and travel with her family.
AMANDA JONES
A 5'4" forward who can also play from the outside mid, Amanda was her high school's offensive MVP in 2014 and was the Sunset League offensive player of the year in 2016. Jones helped her club team, Slammers FC ECNL, reach the national semifinals in 2016.
Amanda Jones was born February 9, 1999 and resides in Long Beach, California. Her parents are Mike and Linda Jones. Amanda has four siblings, Krista (30), Ashley (24), Zachary (22) and a younger sibling, Zoe (13). Amanda would like to be a pre-med major.
OLIVE JONES
A local product out of Phoenix, Arizona, Olive is a 5'8" center forward. While she did not play in high school, she did play club soccer with SC Del Sol. She played in ODP regional camps and was called up to the youth national camp as a sophomore.
Born January 9, 1999 to parents Scott and Jennifer Jones, Olive, who grew up an ASU fan, is the middle child of three with siblings, Devin (21) and Aver (13). Olive is interested in Kinesiology and physical therapy.
JADYN NOGUES
A 6'1" defensive mid who can also be used as an attacking mid, Jadyn was a 2016 Gatorade player of the year nominee. She was also listed on the high school All-America watch list in 2016. In 2015 she was named the Offensive Player of the Year, and in 2015 and 2016 was named to the Las Vegas Review Journal All-State first team. Nogues has also been successful in the classroom as she was named to the All-State Academic Team the past three seasons. In 2015 and '16 she earned All-Conference honors while also garnering All-Region honors. During her high school career, she scored 68 goals to go along with 45 assists. In 2016 she helped lead her team to a regional championship and to the State Championship game. In 2014 and '15 her school won the Conference Championship. Jadyn has been a part of Nevada's ODP team since before moving up to the Region IV team in 2015. She was selected to participate in the 2015 ODP Thanksgiving Interregional All-Star game.
Jadyn was born on December 14, 1998 to parents, Rick and Marni Nogues, and has two siblings, sister Mackenzie (19) and brother Ryan (15). She plans to be a Pre-Med student with a focus on Biological Sciences. She will be a student in the Barrett Honors College and would like to become a doctor someday. In addition to playing soccer Jadyn enjoys hiking and snowboarding.
NICOLE PANAS
Nicole is an international player from Canada. She is 5'11" goalkeeper who has also played on the back line for her high school. In 2015 she was a division I gold medalist for her play in goal. Nicole has also been an all-star on the track where she was a provincial gold medalist in the long jump and javelin, while claiming a silver medal in the 4x100 relay. With her club team, Nicole won a bronze medal in 2015 in the Western Canada Summer Games. She also brings international experience as she has earned 30 international caps playing with the U15 Polish National Team and also the U17 Polish National.
Born September 26, 1999 to parents Edward and Maria Panas, Nicole has three older brothers, John (28), Jack (25) and Jason (22) and an older sister, Jennifer (26). While Nicole is interested in psychology, world history, anatomy, biology, languages and social interaction, she wants to pursue a career in sports business. Among her hobbies are playing tennis, snow sports, hiking, learning languages, coaching, traveling and cooking.
"I hope that over the coming weeks and months I will be able to make two or three more additions to help the program move forward," added Winkworth. "It is important that the players we add can continue to add to the professional and family environment we have here at ASU."
