TEMPE, Ariz. – The Arizona State volleyball team (9-17, 2-12 Pac-12) fell to the No. 9 UCLA Bruins (19-5, 10-4 Pac-12), 21-25, 22-25, 19-25, Saturday night in Wells Fargo Arena.
 
"I like what we are doing. We are competing real hard," said head coach Stevie Mussie. "With this group of kids, they are getting pretty good together. I like what we are doing. We are competing really hard right now and that I am a huge fan of."
 
Junior Oluoma Okaro led the Sun Devils with nine kills and four aces, while sophomore Jasmine Koonts added eight of her own on .533 hitting. Okaro and Koonts also added three total blocks apiece. 
 
Freshman setter Nicole Peterson recorded 31 assists on the match, and added seven digs and two kills. Junior Halle Harker added 14 digs, surpassing 1,300 in her career.
 
UCLA's Reily Buechler led all scorers with 13 kills on .423 hitting, while Jordan Anderson added 10 on .333 attacking.
 
Up next, the Sun Devils head north to face No. 23 Washington State and No. 8 Washington on Friday, Nov. 11 and Sunday. Nov. 13, respectively, for the final road weekend of the regular season. The match against the Cougars will start at 7 p.m. PT/8 p.m. MT, while the match against the Huskies will start at 11 a.m. PT/Noon MT. Both matches will air on the host institution's respective live streams.
