LOS ANGELES—The Arizona State volleyball team (7-11, 0-6 Pac-12) fell in three sets to No. 18 UCLA (12-3, 3-2 Pac-12), 23-25, 12-25, 22-25, on Friday at Pauley Pavilion.

Sophomore Lexi MacLean led the Sun Devils with eight kills, while junior Oluoma Okaro added seven kills and a match-high six blocks.

"I liked the way we came out in the first set; we followed the scouting report and played hard," head coach Stevie Mussie said. "When we get to the second set we just ran out of gas. We need to continue to get better at attacking and attacking with range. If we can score we give ourselves a good chance.  This weekend we will get some rest and get people ready for Stanford and Cal."

Junior Halle Harker moved up to No. 12 all-time at ASU in digs with six on the night, bringing her career total to 1,198. She is 23 digs from tying the No. 10 mark, currently held by Nancy Christian (1990-93), with 1,221 digs.

The Sun Devils remain on the road next week, taking on the Bay Area schools on back-to-back nights. On Friday, Oct. 14, ASU faces California at 6 p.m. PT, and on Saturday, Oct. 15, ASU will take on Stanford at 7 p.m. PT. The match against the Bears will air on the Pac-12 Network, while the match against the Cardinal will be live streamed on GoStanford.com.

ASU returns to Wells Fargo Arena on Wednesday, Oct. 19, hosting Washington State at 7 p.m. PT on the Pac-12 Network.
