The Sun Devil men's golf team will be celebrating Halloween in Princeville, Hawaii competing at the Warrior Princeville Invitational, October 30-November 1 and played at the Princeville Makai Golf Club 7223-yard course. The team last competed in the event in 2014 and placed second as a team.
The competition has a 19-team field and will be the first time this season the Sun Devils will be competing in a tournament without another Pac-12 school. The field includes Cal Poly, Colorado State, East Tennessee State, Georgia Southern, Idaho, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisville, Mississippi, Missouri, Missouri – Kansas City, Sam Houston State, San Diego, San Francisco, Pepperdine, Princeton, UC Irvine, Utah Valley, and host school Hawai'i.
The Sun Devil lineup will be Jared Du Toit, Blake Wagoner, Alejandro Del Rey Gonzalez, Ki Taek Li, and Tobias Eden. Freshman Anthony Truong will also be competing as an individual.
THIS SEASON
It has been a successful fall season through three tournaments for Arizona State. Last time out the Sun Devils competed at the Tavistock Cup in Orlando, Florida. Captain Jared Du Toit posted his seventh top-ten finish as a Sun Devil and the team finished third. Senior Ki Taek Li has been playing at a high level all fall and is currently ranked as Golfeek's 17th ranked college player. Li tied for the individual medal at the Alister Mackenzie Invitational and helped lead ASU to a team victory.
