TEMPE, Ariz. – The top-25 Sun Devils await a strong field of competition at this weekend's Stanford Intercollegiate at Stanford Golf Course (Oct. 14-16).
Tee times for the par-71, 6,130 yard course are 8:30 am PT Friday and Saturday and 7:30 am PT Sunday. The 54-hole stroke-play event is hosted by former Secretary of State and current Stanford professor and senior fellow Condoleezza Rice. The course itself played host to the 2016 NCAA Stanford Regional.
ASU faces seven fellow top-25 teams in No. 2 Stanford, No. 3 USC, No. 5 UCLA, No. 6 Georgia, No. 7 Florida, No. 17 Northwestern, and No. 18 Oklahoma State. Rounding out the 17-team field are No. 27 San Jose State, No. 33 San Diego State, No. 37 Colorado, No. 41 Cal, No. 46 Pepperdine, Iowa State, UC Davis, USF, and Washington.
Individually, UCLA's Bronte Law is the two-time defending individual champion while 11 other top-30 individuals will compete this weekend, including Arizona State's own Linnea Strom (No. 16) and the nation's top two – Colorado's Esther Lee (No. 1) and Stanford's Andrea Lee (No. 2).
Competing for the Sun Devils this weekend are Olivia Mehaffey, Linnea Strom, and Monica Vaughn, who rank No. 4, No. 7, and No. 16 in world amateur rankings, respectively, as well as Roberta Liti, and Sophia Zeeb.
The Sun Devils look for their first Stanford Intercollegiate title since 2009, while they also won the tournament as a team in 2007 and 2004.
