TEMPE, Ariz. – Sun Devil softball will play a six-game Fall schedule, featuring five appearances at Farrington Softball Stadium beginning in October.
The schedule features four in-state opponents, beginning with an Oct. 19 meeting with Phoenix College at Farrington Stadium.
Following the opening game of the Fall slate, ASU will head to Fullerton, Calif., for a meeting with California State University at Fullerton before returning home for four games.
The Sun Devils will face Scottsdale Community College (Oct. 26) and Mesa Community College (Oct. 29) before concluding the Fall schedule on Nov. 5 with a doubleheader featuring Yavapai College and South Mountain Community College.
The Fall schedule will serve as the first opportunity for fans to see first-year head coach Trisha Ford and the Sun Devil softball team in the 2016-17 academic year. ASU is coming off their 12th consecutive postsason appearance that saw the Sun Devils fall to No. 10 LSU in the regional final in Baton Rouge.
ASU returns 18 letterwinners from the 2016 roster, including 14 Sun Devils who combined to lead the prolific Pac-12 Conference in fielding percentage a year ago.
