RIVIERA MAYA, Mexico – Competing among some of the best women's world amateur golfers, Olivia Mehaffey and Linnea Strom each finished in the top 25 of the 163-player field.
 
Mehaffey and her Irish teammates also finished third overall as a group, receiving a bronze medal, finishing just one stroke (569) behind Switzerland (568). She was joined by Annabel Wilson and Duke's Leona Maguire.
 
The Republic of Korea captured the Espirito Santo Trophy with half of the trio's combined 12 rounds sub-70.
 
Finishing tied for 15th individually, Mehaffey finished even overall across four rounds, saving her best round for last with a 68 in the fourth round. Strom tied for 25th, finishing six over par, with a 73 in the even rounds and a 74 in the odds.
 
The duo returns to Tempe as the team prepares for their next tournament, the Annika Intercollegiate in Orlando, Fla. starting next weekend (Sept. 25-27).
