TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Arizona State hockey program added graduate transfer forward Robbie Baillargeon from Boston University for the 2016-17 season on Thursday.

A 2012 5th round draft pick by the Ottawa Senators (NHL), Baillargeon was a three-year starter for the Terriers in the Hockey East Conference and led the program in scoring during his freshman season in 2013-14 with 27 points (10G-17A).

"I'm getting to know Robbie and I really believe he is a special kid and special talent," said Sun Devil hockey head coach Greg Powers. "He did some really good things for a great program in BU and needed a fresh change of scenery and we ended up being a perfect fit both ways. Robbie will give our young team great experience that we need and we couldn't be happier that Robbie Baillargeon is a Sun Devil."

Over his final two seasons with BU, Baillargeon totaled nine goals and 19 assists in 66 games.

His freshman year, he was named to the Pro Ambitions Hockey East All-Rookie Team.

Prior to his collegiate career, he helped Team USA claim the gold medal at the 2012 World Junior A Challenge in Nova Scotia as well.
