TEMPE, Ariz. -- On Friday, Pac12 Commissioner Larry Scott named the 2016 Women’s All-Academic teams, and three Arizona State women were selected.

Sophomore Roberta Liti and junior Monica Vaughn were honored with First-Team merits, making ASU one of two schools with multiple selections. Liti also holds the second-highest GPA with a 3.94.

It becomes the second-straight year Vaughn has earned First-Team honors and fifth-straight year the Sun Devil women's program has had two or more student-athletes on the list as well.

Vaughn and Liti both were starters from the first tournament of the season, with Vaughn tallying seven top-10 finishes in her 11 tournament appearances. She also won her first tournament outright of her college career at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge in February.

In 2015-16, Liti carded her lowest round of her short collegiate career with a 70 at the Windy City Classic.

Along with Liti and Vaughn, sophomore Sophia Zeeb made the honorable mention list as well for ASU.

To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and appear in at least 50 percent of their team’s events.
