EUGENE, Ore. -- In the second round of the NCAA Women's Golf Championships, Arizona State freshman Linnea Strom shot a three-over 75 and will have moving day on Sunday to get back in the mix.
After a par 72 round on day one, Strom faced some challenges on the greens at Eugene Country Club on Saturday and is currently in a tie for 57th at 3-over par 147 (72-75) with golfers still out on the course. Strom tallied just her first double bogey in over 57 holes.
"Conditions were about the same today, but not as many putts rolled in for Linnea," said head coach Missy Farr-Kaye. "If she can get a few more putts to drop, she will have her best round yet."
Strom kept her streak of success going on the par-5's, finishing 1-under on the four holes on Saturday with three pars and a birdie. Over the two days, she is currently three-under.
Sunday gives the Swede 18 holes to be amongst the top-nine individuals in order to move on to the final round on Monday and a chance to medal individually.
Monday will also be televised live on NBC's Golf Channel from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. PT.
Sunday's round can be followed live on Golfstat.com or on the Golfstat mobile app.
