TEMPE, Ariz. – Bryson Echols, a graduate transfer from the University of Texas, has signed a grant-in-aid to compete for Sun Devil Football in his fifth and final season of eligibility this fall.
Echols, a 5-foot-10, 180-pound cornerback, appeared in 32 games, including one start, in four years at Texas. He led the Longhorns with 10 special teams tackles as a redshirt freshman in 2013 and was a member of the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll. A member of the Longhorns’ 2012 signing class, he was a 247 Sports composite four-star prospect out of Desoto High and a top-25 player in Texas.
The football program will make its annual trek to Camp Tontozona —ASU’s iconic preseason football camp — on Tuesday, August 2 through Saturday, August 6. The 2016 season kicks off Sept. 3 against Northern Arizona at Sun Devil Stadium.
