SAN FRANCISCO—Arizona State beach volleyball’s No. 1s duo of Bianca Arellano and Whitney Follette were named to the inaugural All-Pac-12 First Team, the Pac-12 Conference announced on Thursday.

Arellano and Follette finished the year at an ASU single-season record for wins with 18, advancing to the Pairs Semifinals at the inaugural Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Championships. The duo also own the No. 1 and No. 2 most career wins for an individual in Sun Devil beach volleyball history, Follette with 38 and Arellano with 36.

Last week, Arellano and Follette were also named to the first-ever Pac-12 All-Tournament Team.

ASU finished the 2016 season with the most wins in program history, 12, and surpassed the double-digit win mark for the first time with a 5-0 sweep over San Diego State. The season also featured a 4-1 upset over then-ranked South Carolina, two wins over Pac-12 foe Oregon, and sweeps of Grossmont College, Colorado Mesa, and New Mexico State.

USC’s Kelly Claes was named the Pac-12 Player of the Year, while she and partner Sara Hughes were named Pac-12 Pair of the Year. UCLA’s Megan McNamara was named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year, and Pac-12 Coach of the Year honors went to Arizona’s Steve Walker.
