Pac-12 Networks’ flagship show, ?Pac-12 Sports Report’ revealed the Men’s and Women’s Golf All-Century teams Monday night, and @ASUMensGolf took home a sweep of the major men's awards, with Phil Mickelson earning Golfer of the Century, Randy Lein earning Pac-12 Coach of the Century and Paul Casey, who won three straight Pac-10 titles from 1998-2000, earning a spot on the All-Century team.

The 12-member teams were voted on by a panel of 30 consisting of coaches, players, administrators and members of the media. Each member of the team was chosen based on their collegiate careers in the Conference.

On the men’s side of 70 total nominees, the players named to the team have won 14 College Player of the Year Awards, six NCAA individual titles, 34 Majors and 10 Masters. In all, there are 374 professional wins from members of the team.

The Pac-12 Men’s Golfer of the Century, Phil Mickelson, was with the Sun Devils from 1988-1992 and earned first-team All-American each year. He won a school record 16 tournaments, including NCAA titles in 1989, 1990 and 1992, and was named Pac- 10 Player of the Year three times (1990-92). Also a U.S. Walker Cup member in 1989 and 1991, Mickelson was the U.S. Amateur champion in 1990, and was the only player to win outright NCAA crowns in freshman and sophomore seasons.

Randy Lein, who coached with USC from 1984-92 and Arizona State from 1993-2011, was named the Pac-12 Men’s Golf Coach of the Century. Lein guided the Sun Devils to 44 tournament victories, eight Pacific-10 Championships, five NCAA West Regional wins and 10 top-10 finishes at the NCAA Championships, including the title in 1996. ASU notched solid NCAA finishes with fifth-place showings in 1999, 1998, 1997 (tie) and 2009 (tie), a fourth-place finish in 1995, sixth-place finishes in 1993, 2001 and 2003 and a ninth-place finish in 1994. He won Pacific-10 Conference Coach of the Year honors five times at ASU and also twice while at USC. Lein is part of the Golf Coaches Association of America Hall of Fame and the Sun Devil Athletics Hall of Fame. His teams from 1995-2000 put together a steak of six straight Pac-10 titles, a streak that couldn't be matched until 2019, and that would be if current three-time defending champion Stanford wins the next three titles.

How impressive is the six-peat?

During ASU's domination for over half a decade of the course, Notah Begay, Tiger Woods, Joel Kribel, Ted Purdy, Rory Sabbatini, Ricky Barnes and Casey Martin were some of the standouts who never won a Pac-10 team title because of the likes of Paul Casey, Jeff Quinney, Chris Hannell and Scott Johnson, just to name a few. Even though he hasn't coached in past five seasons, he still has twice as many Pac-10 titles (eight) as any SCHOOL in past 24 years, with only Stanford and USC having four in that time.

A three-time Pac-10 champion and two-time English Amateur champion, Paul Casey earned first-team All-America honors in the spring of 2000 and was a second-team selection in 1998 and 1999. His 2000 stroke average of 69.87 set an ASU school record, formerly held by Phil Mickelson who posted a 69.95 average in his senior season 1991-92. Casey shot a 67 in the final round of the 41st annual Pac-10 Men's Golf Championship to break Tiger Woods conference par-72 mark and win his third straight Pac-10 title at The ASU Karsten Golf Course on April 26, 2000. He also led ASU to its sixth straight league title, as the Sun Devils shot 56-under 1,384 (339-351-342-352) to also set Pac-10 records for low score and best score under par. He finished at 23-under 265 (66-65-67-67) and broke Woods' 18-under 270 set in the 1996 Championships at Big Canyon Country Club in Newport Beach, Calif. (61-65-73-71). Casey shot a 15-under 265 at the Broadmoor Golf Club in Seattle on the par-70 course in 1999, including a NCAA record 60 in the final round.

Casey ended his career with six collegiate championships, at the time tied for third on the ASU wins list as he passed 1993 NCAA Champion Todd Demsey, who had five. Casey ended his career tied with Charlie Gibson, who won six titles from 1972-75, while four-time All-American Billy Mayfair won eight titles from 1985-88.

WALKER CUP OF 1999: Casey and NCAA champion Luke Donald teamed up for a pair of victories in early September at the Walker Cup to lead the Great Britain and Ireland team to a victory over the United States, as crowds were restricted to 7,000 each day of the Cup. Both Casey and Donald teamed up for a pair of victories in foursomes and won both of their singles matches in Nairn, Scotland, becoming the only GB & I players other than Andrew Oldcorn in 1983 to post 4-0 records, a span of 77 years. Casey won singles matches by 5 and 3 and 3 and 2 as GB & I won 10 of possible 12 points on final day to record a 15-9 win.
