TEMPE, Ariz. – Arizona State University’s Mike Bercovici, Kweishi Brown and Nick Kelly were named to the 2016 National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society, the NFF and College Hall of Fame announced.

ASU’s three members are the most in the Pac-12 and tied for the eighth-highest mark among all Div. I schools.

The NFF Hampshire Honor Society recognizes college football student-athletes from all divisions who maintain a cumulative 3.2 GPA or above throughout their college career.

Bercovici, the 2015 Pac-12 Football Scholar-Athlete of the Year and a semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy, college football’s premier scholar-athlete award, holds two degrees from ASU, including a Masters in Sports Law and Business and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. He was a Scholar Baller®, an honor given to a student-athlete who achieves a GPA of 3.0 or above, in 11 semesters, and was heavily involved in a variety of leadership and outreach programs, and community service initiatives. Bercovici tied the school’s single-season passing touchdowns record with 30 this past season and finished the year in the top three of ASU’s single-season records in eight major offensive categories.

Kelly, who was a two-time Pac-12 All-Academic honoree, including a second-team selection in 2015 and honorable mention in 2014, will graduate from ASU with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Criminology this May. A six-time Scholar Baller®, he was a 2015 co-captain and a member of the team’s Leadership Council in consecutive years. Kelly started 26 consecutive games the past two seasons and was part of the foundation of an offensive line that paved the way for back-to-back 1,000-yard rusher, and has dedicated countless hours at various kid’s camps and youth clinics throughout his career.

Brown, a 2015 Second-Team Pac-12 All-Academic honoree a three-time Scholar Baller®, will graduate from ASU with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology this May. He finished his career with 87 tackles, including 73 solo and three tackles for loss, and added 21 pass deflections, one forced fumble, and five interceptions. A great ambassador for the Sun Devils in his two years in Tempe, Brown participated in a number of community service projects and visits.
