HONOLULU—The Arizona State beach volleyball team (7-7) dropped a pair of 5-0 matches to No. 4 Hawaii (11-6) and No. 5 UCLA (12-4) on Saturday as part of the 2016 Outrigger Beach Volleyball Challenge at Queen’s Beach.
In the loss to the Sand Bows, the No. 4s duo of Frances Giedraitis and Jourdan Parnell attempted to come back and force a third set against Ari Hoayun and Hannah Zalopany, 21-18, 21-19.
Up next, the Sand Devils travel to Stanford, Calif., for four dual matches on April 9-10. On Saturday, ASU takes on Oregon and Stanford at Noon PT and 3 p.m. PT, respectively, and on Sunday, the Sun Devils take on Boise State and California at 8:30 a.m. PT and 2:30 p.m. PT, respectively.
