HONOLULU—The Arizona State beach volleyball team wrapped the Outrigger Beach Volleyball Challenge Pairs Tournament on Friday at the T.C. Clarence Ching Complex.
Each Sand Devil pair fell in their opening-round matches, with the No. 1s duo of Bianca Arellano and Whitney Follette taking their match against Hawaii’s Katie Spieler and Emily Maglio to three sets, 21-16, 19-21, 15-6. Spieler and Maglio went on to win the Gold Division bracket.
Up next, ASU takes on No. 4 Hawaii and No. 5 UCLA in a pair of dual matches on Saturday, starting off with a 9 a.m. HT/Noon PT matchup with the Wahine. ASU will face UCLA at 11 a.m. HT/2 p.m. PT.
