TEMPE, Ariz.—The Arizona State volleyball team and head coach Stevie Mussie announced on Wednesday that Ivana Jeremic has signed an NLI and will join the program for the 2016 season.

"We're all very excited about the opportunity that Ivana is going to have here at Arizona State," Mussie said. "It will allow her to flourish both athletically and academically. She's going to come in with the chance to be a leader on our squad, even as a freshman. We'll look to her to bring both her volleyball knowledge and international experience to the greater group."

Jeremic, a 6-1 outside hitter, joins the program from Gornji Milanovac, Serbia, where she attends Gimnazija 'Takovski Ustanak'. She also plays for the club team Takovo Zvezda Helios, under high school head coach Milan Miloševic.

"A big part of this recruiting process with Ivana was about Sanja (Tomasevic) doing a great job and being diligent," Mussie said. "The team really won her over when she was on her visit. Her ability to connect with our team was instantaneous. She was a part of the family from the moment she stepped on campus."

Jeremic was named the Best Athlete Of Gornji Milanovac both in 2015 and 2016, and was a member of the U17 and U19 National Teams, playing for the Balkan Championships. Additionally, Jeremic was named MVP for the Djurdjevdan Tournament.

The daughter of Duško and Marijana Jeremic, Ivana has two siblings, older sister Aleksandra and younger brother Filip.
