Tempe, Ariz. -- The No. 11 Arizona State women’s golf team finished second at the PING/ASU Invitational over the weekend at Karsten Golf Course in Tempe. The Sun Devils carded a cumulative six-under, shooting 858.
Arizona State earned quality head-to-head victories over No. 1 Alabama, No. 4 Northwestern, No. 10 Arizona, No. 13 Washington, and No. 17 UNLV. The Sun Devils managed to post a 54-hole best, 4.68 (19-under) in par 5 scoring average. The Sun Devils have finished outside of the top-10 only once this season out of nine appearances.

Linnea Strom led the way for Arizona State. She shot one-under 72 on Sunday and posted a five-under score for the entire tournament, finishing with a total of 211. The freshman finished under par each day of the tournament. She has now recorded five top-10 finishes in eight events during her freshman season.
ASU sophomore Sophia Zeeb finished two-over for the tournament, posting 218. She finished one-under to begin the tournament and made par in round two. Zeeb managed to place in the top ten, by tying for ninth place.
Bronte Law of UCLA set a 54-hole record finishing at 12-under, 204 (64-71-69). She took home first place honors for the tournament.
The UCLA Bruins also took home first-place honors as a team posting a 54-hole 12-under, 852.
The Sun Devils look ahead to the Pac-12 Championships in Pleasanton, Calif. The tournament begins Monday, April 18th and runs through Wednesday, April 20.
