TEMPE, Ariz.—Four members of the Arizona State gymnastics team were named to the Pac-12 All-Academic Teams, the Pac-12 Conference announced on Friday.
Leading the way for ASU were the senior duo of Carissa Kraus and Allie Salas, who both earned nods to the Second Team. Senior Taylor Allex and Beka Conrad were named to the Honorable Mention list for the first time in their respective careers.
Kraus, who owns a 3.51 GPA in marketing, also earned Second Team honors in 2015, and honorable mention honors in 2014. Salas, who owns a 3.58 GPA in biochemistry, was also named to the second team in both 2014 and 2015.
To be eligible for selection to an All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and have participated in at least fifty percent of competitions this regular season.
Up next, Allex will represent Sun Devil Gymnastics as an individual event competitor on vault at the 2016 NCAA Championships, April 15-16, in Fort Worth, Texas.
