TEMPE, Ariz. -- CollegeSwimming.com announced junior Richard Bohus as the NCAA Division I TeamUnify / CollegeSwimming Men's Swimmer of the Week on Tuesday.
The national collegiate swimming website points to his performance on Saturday that lifted the Sun Devils over No. 17 Arizona for the first time since 2002.
Bohus broke the ASU school record -- which he set himself -- in the men's 100-yard backstroke with a time of 46.74. He also helped the men's 200-yard medley relay break the school record with a time of 1:25.65.
As if that wasn't enough, Bohus raced to two more victories in the men's 50- and 100-yard freestyle events.
In the 12 events Bohus has competed in since he's been back from injury, he has earned eight first-place finishes, three second and one third.
All of this comes just months after breaking both of his arms in a bicycle accident, giving way to his nickname -- the 'Comeback Kid'.
