TEMPE, Ariz. - The Arizona State swimming and diving squads travel to Texas for the Art Adamson Invitational and the Texas Invitational starting on Thursday, Nov. 19.

The swimmers' three-day event will be hosted by Texas A&M in College Station and will include nine men's teams and seven women's squads. The men and women will both take on the Aggies, Southern Methodist University, Texas Christian, LSU and Utah. Air Force, Stanford and San Diego State also participate in the men events, while the women include Boise State.

The divers head to Austin for their three-day event hosted by the University of Texas that also features TCU, Wisconsin, California, Arizona State and Miami (Fla.). Houston, Trinity, North Texas and Colorado State will also compete in the women events only.

In the women's field, five of the seven teams are ranked in the top-50, with Texas A&M at No. 3, San LSU at No. 28, Boise State at No. 42, ASU at No. 45 and SMU at No. 50.

For the men, ASU remains at No. 38 and is behind fellow competitors No. 37 Utah, No. 36 LSU, No. 30 Air Force -- who they competed against earlier this year -- the Aggies at No. 24 and No. 2 Stanford.

For the divers, the men will take on Texas, TCU, Wisconsin, California and Miami (Fla.), while sophomore Mara Aiacoboae competes against Houston, Trinity, North Texas and Colorado State.

This weekend will provide the biggest challenge of the season thus far for both the men and women with several of the top teams in the country participating.

The preliminary events will all be long course to provide the swimmers with times at a time of the year when the swimmers are rested. It allows the athletes to also get Olympic trial times at the meet.

The Sun Devils will debut their new MP XPRESSO Jammers for the men and the Kneeskin for the women, which will provide some of the fastest times of the year for the ASU squad.

Live results for the Art Adamson Invite can be accessed on Texas A&M's website here or on Meet Mobile. The evening finals will be available digitally on mobile devices, tablets, PCs and connect-TVs for SEC Network subscribers whose cable/satellite packages allow access to SEC Network+ through the WatchESPN app and SECSports.com.

LAST MEET FOR ASU

The Sun Devil men and women both struggled in their last two meets, with losses to USC on Friday, Nov. 6 and the men dropping a meet to Air Force and women to UCLA the following day.

While neither teams brought home victories, head coach Bob Bowman was pleased to see his teams compete until the very end and his top swimmers win the races they should have.
