EL PASO, TX – After two rounds and 36-holes of play, Sun Devil senior Max Rotluff finds himself in contention tied for third, at the Sun Bowl Western Refining College All-America Golf Classic held at El Paso Country Club in El Paso, Texas.
Rottluff opened the day carding a 3-over 74. The All-American quickly adjusted, firing a tournament-best six-under 65 for the second round of the afternoon, closing with four-consecutive birdies. The senior managed an eagle and five birdies to just one bogey on the round.
At three-under for the tournament, Rottluff sits just three strokes of the lead. He seeks to become just the second Sun Devil since Billy Mayfair in 1986, to medal at the event.
Rottluff is slated to tee-off at 8:20 a.m. MST. Live scoring of the final round will be available via Golfstat.com.
