Foster The People

--Wide receiver D.J. Foster set a Pac-12 record with a 9-yard catch on the Devils’ first play from scrimmage as he now has at least one reception in 49 consecutive games, the longest active streak in FBS

--With seven receptions against the Cougars, Foster now has 208 career receptions, which trails Derek Hagan by 50 for the most all-time at ASU

--With 71 receiving yards against the Cougars, Foster now has 2,310 career receiving yards, good for seventh in ASU history

Super Demario

--Running back Demario Richard now has 13 touchdowns in the past nine games he has played in dating back to the 2014 Sun Bowl

--Richard collected 100-plus rushing yards for the fifth time this season and the sixth time in his career, which puts him tied for 17th in school history in career 100-yard rushing games

--Richard picked up 117 all-purpose yards and has now gone over the century mark in all-purpose yards in seven games this season

In Berco We Trust

--Quarterback Mike Bercovici recorded a one-yard touchdown run in the third quarter and now has five touchdown rushes this season. Quarterbacks under Mike Norvell and Todd Graham have combined for 18 rushing touchdowns in the past four seasons, including Taylor Kelly’s season-high nine rushing touchdowns in 2014.

--Mike Bercovici is responsible for 146 of ASU’s 280 points this season (52.1 percent) with 19 passing touchdowns and five rushing touchdowns

Strike Fast

--Both the Sun Devils’ scoring drives in the first half came under three minutes (2:13 and 2:20, respectively) and now 199 of ASU’s 273 offensive scoring drives under offensive coordinator Mike Norvell have come in three minutes or less

--Of ASU’s 44 scoring drives this season in regulation, 31 have come in under three minutes

Strike Slow

--ASU’s first scoring drive of the third quarter lasted 17 plays and 6 minutes and 25 seconds, its longest scoring of the drive of the season in terms of time elapsed and tied for the longest this season in terms of number of plays

Stopping The Run

The Devils held Washington State to 15 net rushing yards, a season-best mark for ASU. This marks the first year since 2007 that the ASU defense has held five conference opponents under 100 rushing yards in one season (USC (76), UCLA (62), Colorado (49), Utah (72), Washington State (15)). Good Orr Great

Safety Kareem Orr picked up his fourth interception of the season on the Cougars third drive of the game to become the first true freshman at ASU since David Fulcher in 1983 to record four interceptions in his first season

Sack Lunch

Linebacker D.J. Calhoun recorded his team-leading fifth sack of the season with a 10-yard takedown in the second quarter. Of 20 total tackles this season, Calhoun has five sacks.

Simone – Tackling Machine

--Safety Jordan Simone led the team in tackles with 13 – his third straight double-digit game - and has led or tied for the team lead in tackles in seven games this season, and he’s recorded double-digit tackles in five of those contests

--Eleven of Simone’s tackles were solo after entering the game second in the FBS and first in the league in averaging 7.4 solo tackles per game

SPECIAL TEAMS

In-Zane In The Membrane

--Kicker Zane Gonzalez connected on three extra-point attempts and a field to increase his career total to 329 points, moving him into third all-time on ASU’s point scoring list

--Gonzalez now has connected on 147 career extra-points, which is second most in school history and trails Jesse Ainsworth (2003-06)

Punter & Quarterback

--Punter Matt Haack’s first career pass attempt went for a 27-yard completion to Foster on a fake punt from the WSU 40-yard line in the third quarter

Career Firsts

--Redshirt freshman wide receiver Jalen Harvey saw the first action of his career on punt return

--Linebacker Ismael Murphy-Richardson recorded the first solo sack of his career in the second quarter

--Dasmond Tautalatasi made his first career appearance at Spur linebacker in the fourth quarter
