"I'm very pleased with how well this team ended the fall season and I'm esepcaiilly excited for such a great tournament for Linnea," head coach Missy Farr-Kaye said."Five-under round today on that golf course is outstanding."

The college rookie finished under par in two of her three rounds, shooting 72, 75 and 68. Bogey wasn't in Strom's vocabulary either, as her final round included 13 pars and five birdies. As if that wasn't impressive enough, Tuesday's round is her best of her short college career as well.

The team as a whole finished with a one-under 291, continuing their streak of improving each round to three-straight tournaments. The No. 15 Sun Devils' second-place finish came just behind No. 3 UCLA by seven strokes, but that's also due to a tournament best eight-under 284 on the final day by the Bruins.

Junior Monica Vaughn, who has been battling sickness all week, finished in a tie for eighth place with a one-over 220. She finished with 15 pars, a birdie and two bogeys.

Sophomore Roberta Liti continued to improve round-to-round, turning in an even-par 73 round to wrap up the three-round tournament. That round-by-round adjustment led to her finishing in the top-25.

The strong finish by the Sun Devils wraps up fall play, and allows them to go into the winter break with something to hang their hat on and a sense of where their young team stands.

"We've met many of our goals this fall and I'm very pleased with all the improvements we're making one tournament at a time," Farr-Kaye said. "Now we are heading into our offseason to work on a few things and we'll be back ready to go in January."

Their next tournament will be on Feb. 7, 2016 at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge in Palos Verdes, Calif.
