LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Arizona State doubles pair of Desirae Krawczyk and Stephanie Vlad played their final game at the ITA All-American Championships, losing to Northwestern's Alex Chatt and Maddie Lipp in a match tiebreak.

The seniors -- ranked No. 6 in the nation in doubles -- lost 3-6 in the first set before bouncing back with a 7-6 (2) victory in the second. A match tiebreak decided the semifinal contest, and the Sun Devil pair fell 6-10.

Assistant coach Matt Langley was pleased with how they battled through the consolation bracket, but they ran into a team on fire coming off of two-straight victories.

Krawczyk and Vlad earned a bye in both the winners and consolation bracket, but were upset by Georgia's Mariana Gould and Ellen Perez in their first match. Gould and Perez eventually made it all the way to the winner's bracket semifinals before losing.

As the No. 2 seed on the consolation side, the two would defeat Florida State's Gabriella Castaneda and Emily Fanning 8-5.

All of the Sun Devil women will enjoy three weeks off before their next tournament, while junior Gussie O'Sullivan will participate in the ITA Regional Championships on Thursday, Oct. 15 in San Diego, Calif.
