TEMPE, Ariz. – The Sun Devil Baseball program is proud to announce that Sun Devils for Life and current Major Leaguers Dustin Pedroia and Andre Ethier are set to headline the inaugural Arizona State Baseball Experience this November.
The weekend tees off on Friday, Nov. 20 with the Sun Devil Cup, a Ryder Cup format golf outing (Team Pedroia vs Team Ethier) where participants will be paired with ASU greats to compete in a unique event at Talking Stick. A second flight will include additional Sun Devil baseball alumni and current players on the Papago course.
Then, preceding the Territorial Cup Football game on Saturday, Nov. 21, participants will have the opportunity to attend the Tail-Great Party hosted by Andre Ethier and headlined by rising country singer Clayton Anderson.
The Crest Field of Smiles community service project will be kicked off with a groundbreaking ceremony during the weekend. Head Coach Tracy Smith, Dustin Pedroia, and the current Sun Devil baseball team will break ground on the project at Todd Stottlemyer Field in Guadalupe with a plan to fully refurbish the field by November 2016. In addition, the current Sun Devil Baseball team will host the ASU Baseball ProCamp for 80 local disadvantaged youth at Packard Stadium. In subsequent years, the youth clinic portion will take place at the newly refurbished Crest Field of Smiles.
