MEN'S GOLF (COACH TIM MICKELSON/FOURTH SEASON/HIRED JULY 10, 2011)
ASU’s team five wins in 2014-15 were its most since the 1995-96 team won six on its way to the 1996 NCAA title...only teams with more wins in 2014-15 entering the NCAA Championship were Illinois (nine), Texas (seven), and South Florida (six)...ASU made its 51st NCAA Championship/Finals appearance in 2014-15, behind only Oklahoma State (68), Texas (61), and USC (56), and tied with Florida...for just the second time in Sun Devil history, the men's golf team had two Golf Coaches Association first-team All-Americans, as juniors Max Rottluff and Jon Rahm both earned the honor and were the first Sun Devils to earn first-team honors since Niklas Lemke in 2007...Rahm earned the 2015 Ben Hogan Award, the most prestigious award in men’s amateur golf, and posted four tournament wins on the year and now has seven in his career and has 32 eagles in his 124-round career. His 69.15 stroke average set the ASU record and is the third-best in NCAA history, as he led the nation in par-4 scoring (3.93) and was second in par-5 scoring (4.49), eagles (10) and birdies (183)...Tim Mickelson earned the 2014-15 Pac-12 Men's Golf Coach of the Year, and Rahm and Rottluff earned All-Pac-12 first-team honors...Broc Johnson collected honorable mention honors after his fifth-place Pac-12 Championship finish and a first-place finish at the Loyola Invitational...Rahm’s 12-under 272 (70-68-66-68) at the Waste Management Open in late January fell just short of his quest to be the first amateur to win a PGA Tour event since Sun Devil Phil Mickelson won the Northern Telecom Open in 1991, but that certainly did not diminish what happened during the week. He became the first amateur to finish in the top-five of a PGA TOUR event since Chris Wood (fifth) at the 2008 British Open and Justin Rose (tied for fourth) at the 1998 British Open.

SAND VOLLEYBALL (COACH JASON WATSON/SECOND SEASON/HIRED JANUARY 29, 2008)
In Sun Devil sand volleyball’s second season, juniors Macey Gardner and Whitney Follette became ASU’s first-ever competitors to each record 20 victories … The duos of Gardner and Bianca Arellano and Follette and Harker each record 12-10 overall records … Bethany Jorgensen and Jordy Checkal upset USC’s Sophie Bukovec and Alexa Strange in straight sets as part of the Pac-12 Tournament … Sun Devil wins included 5-0 sweeps of TCU, Carson-Newman, and New Mexico … ASU also upset then No. 8 UCLA, 3-2.
SOCCER (KEVIN BOYD/EIGHTH SEASON/MARCH 30, 2007)
Finished 12-6-4 and 4-4-3 (8th) in the Pac-12 under head coach Kevin Boyd, ... ASU’s final record represented the sixth time in Boyd’s eight seasons that it finished with a winning record and its 12 wins were its most since 2003... ASU made its seventh all-time NCAA Tournament appearance, including its fourth under current head coach Kevin Boyd. The Sun Devils advanced to the second round of NCAAs for the fourth time in school history... ASU’s nine-game unbeaten streak (7-0-2) during the season was its longest such streak since 2000. The unbeaten streak included a 1-0 win over then-No. 6 Texas A&M (Sept. 7) and a 1-1 tie vs. then-No. 1 UCLA (Sept. 26). Prior to their tie with UCLA, the Sun Devils had won six straight games, which was their longest winning streak since 2002. ASU’s 8-1-3 record after 12 games tied its second-best record after 12 games in program history. Only the 2000 squad, which started the season 11-1, had a better record after 12 games... Team average of 1.86 goals per game was its highest since 2003 (1.90) while its GAA of 1.05 was its lowest since 2007 (0.83)... Thirteen different Sun Devils scored in 2014. Seven of those players scored multiple goals... Junior forward Cali Farquharson (0.67) and freshman forward/midfielder Aly Moon (0.48) were the top combination in the Pac-12 in combined goals per game (1.15) in 2014. Both players tied the single-game school record for goals (3) – Moon at Hawaii (Aug. 24) and Farquharson vs. Nevada (Sept. 14 in Tucson), the second hat-trick of her career. Moon also had seven points in the game vs. Hawaii, coming one point short of tying Farqhuarson’s single-game school record of eight points set in 2012... Both Farquharson and Moon ended the season with a double-digit goal total – Farquharson (14) and Moon (10) – representing only the second time in school history that ASU had two players record double digits in goals... Farquharson joined Sun Devil Hall of Famer Stacey Tullock as the only other Sun Devil to record a double-digit goal total three straight seasons after recording her 10th in ASU’s 1-0 win over Oregon State on Oct. 5... Moon scored five goals in ASU’s first five games. The only Sun Devil freshman to have a better start to her career was Patrice Feulner, who scored seven goals her first five games and 10 in her first six games in 2000. Feulner had back-to-back hat tricks in the fifth and sixth games of her career (consecutive 7-0 home wins by ASU over Pittsburgh on Sept. 10 and vs. Eastern Michigan on Sept. 15)... GK Chandler Morris’ 7.5 shutouts in 2014 were good for second place on ASU’s single-season shutouts list... Freshman Madison Stark was the only Sun Devil to start every game in 2014. She also logged more minutes on the field than any other Sun Devil. She scored her first career goal in the 21st minute of ASU’s 1-0 win over Arizona on Nov. 7... After not scoring any goals the first two seasons of her Sun Devil career, junior defender Rachel Ometer scored three in 2014. The biggest of those goals helped ASU tie then-No. 6 Texas A&M at the half in the Sun Devils’ eventual 2-1 win upset of the Aggies... RS-junior midfielder Mackenzie Semerad’s first goal as a Sun Devil was the game-winner in ASU’s 2-1 upset of then-No. 6 Texas A&M on Sept. 7... Going back to 2012, ASU has won 26 of the 29 contests in which it has scored first (26-1-2). ASU’s 2-1 loss at Washington on Oct. 10 ended a 24 game-unbeaten streak in games in which it had scored first (22-0-2). The other games ASU has not won in that stretch are a 1-1 tie at Oregon State (Oct. 19, 2012) and a 1-1 tie vs. top-ranked UCLA (Sept. 26, 2014).

INDOOR/OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD (DIRECTOR OF TRACK AND FIELD GREG KRAFT/19TH SEASON/HIRED JULY 28, 1996)
2015 OUTDOOR
Seven members of the Arizona State track and field teams earned All-America recognition in eight events, the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced following the 2015 NCAA Track and Field Championships. Leading the way for ASU was senior Shelby Houlihan, who ran a pair of personal bests for First-Team honors in the 1500m and 5000m races. In her school-record setting performance in the 1500m, Houlihan finished as the NCAA runner-up with a time of 4:09.67, breaking the previous record, which she set in 2014. Redshirt senior Bryan McBride picked up a first-team honor and a second team honor at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, placing sixth in the high jump with a clearance at 2.19m (7-2.25) and 16th in the long jump at 7.51m (24-7.75). In his career, McBride has picked up eight All-America honors, four in indoor and four during outdoor, the third-most for the men’s program. He also won his first-ever Pac-12 title in 2015, clearing 2.19m (7-2.25). McBride broke ASU’s 38-year-old school record in the high jump at the Duel In The Desert on May 2, capping his home meet career with a clearance at 2.30m (7-6.50). Kyle Arney set the previous record in 1977 at 2.29m (7-6.00). McBride matched the old record height for the first time at the Drake Relays on April 24, where he finished second amongst some of the top competitors in the world.
