SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.—Arizona State women’s golfers Monica Vaughn, Noemi Jimenez, and Emilie Alonso earned Pac-12 All-Academic honors, Commissioner Larry Scott announced on Wednesday.  To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and participate in at least half of their team’s scheduled regular season events.

Vaughn, named to the Pac-12 All-Academic First Team, maintained a 3.72 GPA in communications while recording six top-10 finishes on the season.  Ranked ninth in the nation according to Golfstat, she leads the Sun Devil squad with a 72.31 scoring average and 98 birdies.  Her 4.71 par-five scoring average is second in the nation.  The WGCA First Team All-American concluded her standout sophomore season with a fifth-place finish at the 2015 NCAA Women’s Golf Championships in May.

Also earning first-team honors, senior Noemi Jimenez graduated with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Business and Tourism Development & Management.  Jimenez notched five top-10 finishes in nine tournaments this season, four of which were in the top five.
