Goodyear, Ariz.--Arizona State's Broc Johnson took home the individual title at the Loyola Golf Invite on Tuesday. Competing as an individual in the tournament, the senior finished with a five-stroke lead at 9-under 207 (69-70-68) at the par-72, 7,015-yard Palm Valley Golf Course.
Johnson shot a season-low 69 in the first round on Sunday, which he later topped with his final-round 68. Carding the most birdies of the tournament (14), the senior led the field in scoring on par-four (-2) and par-five (-11) holes. The win marks Johnson's second top-10 finish as a Sun Devil.
Also golfing as individuals in the tournament were sophomore Ki Taek Lee and senior Ben Shur. Shur cracked the top 25, tying for 22nd with a 5-over 221 (74-74-73) through three rounds, while Lee placed 32nd with a 6-over 222 (71-77-74).
Next up, the Sun Devils head to Las Vegas to compete in the Southern Highlands Collegiate, Mar. 9-11. The tournament will be held at Southern Highlands Golf Club in Las Vegas, Nev.
