TEMPE, Ariz. – Arizona State University and Sun Devil Athletics takes pride in the academic success of its student-athletes, and after the fall semester, they have plenty to be proud of in the classroom.
For the fifth consecutive semester, Sun Devil student-athletes finished the fall term with both a semester and cumulative GPA over 3.00. Led by women’s golf’s 3.61 semester GPA, 17 of 22 teams earned over a 3.00 semester GPA.
All 14 Sun Devil women’s teams achieved over a 3.00 semester GPA. The women combined earned an average fall GPA of 3.28, while the men’s teams combined for an average fall GPA of 2.82.
In December, a total of 17 student-athletes graduated with their undergraduate or graduate degrees as part of fall commencement ceremonies.
The sport representation includes football (6), men’s track (3), water polo (2), baseball (1), gymnastics (1), women’s basketball (1), women’s golf (1), women’s track (1) and wrestling (1).
