The morning kicked off early at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport for the Sun Devils with Fantasy Flight, an event that takes place during the holidays in several United Airlines cities to help make a Christmas wish come true for children. Each participating city chooses a deserving group of children to take part in the event. The kids board a designated plane headed for the "North Pole," then return to a different gate covered in fake snow. Nearly 60 Sun Devil student-athletes walked the kids through "Santa's Winter Wonderland" and joined the participants in several themed activities such as making ornaments, decorating cookies, face painting and getting their pictures taken with Santa. Gift bags, which include toys, blankets, clothes and accessories, as well as toiletry needs were also provided to the children in attendance.
