ON Eric Jacobsen's PERFORMANCE...

"Eric Jacobsen was certainly a silver lining for us tonight. I'm really encouraged by his continued progress. The one thing Eric has, that is needed against a team like Washington as we now found out for the second time, is he has a physical presence that, quite frankly, our team doesn't have through the ranks that doesn't match up really well with these guys."

ON THE WORK TO ACHIEVE MORE REBOUNDING...

"We weren't getting a whole lot of benefit offensively for having two forwards and two guards in the game. We were being pummeled on the glass so we said let's try to play Ruslan Pateev and Jordan Bachynski together. Ruslan actually gave us some really good minutes but it didn't turn the key. It wasn't until we inserted Eric, not that that was the only reason, that the tide started to shift in our favor a little bit."

ON THE OFFENSIVE PERFORMANCE...

"We had possessions that we didn't execute. I don't know if it is the primary storyline. On most nights you'll take 48% and eight turnovers, but we got to the line 15 to 17 times, depending on how you're doing the math. We're talking about such marginal differences notwithstanding the nine-point final spread. We can all think of couple of shots that we couldn't get more open. If you're going to win, you've got to make those kinds of plays or you've got to hold them to five offensive rebounds. It's one or the other. It's not both."

ON WASHINGTON'S ABILITY...

"The overall length and size of their team [was helpful to them.] Those guys are physical and it's what they're good at. It wasn't a good match for us."
