SEATTLE - Designated hitter Nate Causey hit a pair of home runs, including the eventual game-winner in the fifth inning, to lead the 13th-ranked Arizona State University baseball team to a 14-4 win over Washington on Saturday at Husky Ballpark in Seattle, Wash.

Causey hit a solo home run on a full count in the top of the fifth to break up a 4-4 tie and the Sun Devils (35-19-1, 16-13) added eight runs over the next two innings to surge to a nine-run lead, 13-4.

Right fielder Trever Allen recorded three RBI, first baseman Dalton DiNatale went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and a pair of RBI, and Causey finished with three hits, two RBI and four runs scored to pace the Devils.

Starting left-hander Ryan Kellogg (11-0) earned his 11th win of the season and took sole possession of third place on ASU's single-season freshmen wins list. He conceded just four runs in seven innings and allowed just five base runners over his final five innings of work. It was the sixth start in his career that he did not walk a batter and he moved into fifth place on the school's single-season freshmen innings pitched list with 96.2.

Huskies (23-32, 14-15) second baseman Erik Forgione gave UW a 1-0 lead in the first inning on a leadoff single, a stolen base and an RBI groundout before ASU countered with four runs in the top of the second.

The first six batters in the top of the second inning reached base for the Sun Devils on four hits, a walk and an error as ASU erased its 1-0 deficit with four runs.

DiNatale drove in a pair with a two-run single that scored Causey, who reached on a leadoff walk, and Allen, who singled. Left fielder Jake Peevyhouse followed with an RBI double and center fielder Kasey Coffman capped off the frame with a run-scoring single.

UW knotted the game, 4-4, with a trio of runs in the bottom of the second. Shortstop Ty Afenir hit a two-run single up the middle to bring the Huskies within one and later scored on a passed ball after stealing third to score the tying run.

The Devils batted around in the top of the sixth as they tacked on three more runs to extend their lead, 8-4. DiNatale got things going with a leadoff double, and Peevyhouse and Coffman loaded the bases on a hit-by-pitch and a single, respectively. Second baseman James McDonald then knocked a sacrifice fly to right field two batters later, catcher Max Rossiter followed with a two-out RBI single and Allen took a bases-loaded walk.

ASU broke the game open in the seventh with five runs on five hits, including a pair of RBI doubles by Coffman and McDonald, and a two-run triple by Allen.

Right-hander Darin Gillies allowed just one hit in the eighth inning and left-hander Matt Dunbar closed out the ninth in his team-leading 34th appearance of the season. UW starting right-hander Austin Voth (7-6) gave up eight runs, including seven earned, on nine hits in 5 2/3 innings to take the loss.
