INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Arizona State men’s swimming and diving team scored 53 points over the course of the weekend to finish 18th overall at the 2013 NCAA Championships.

Senior diver Harrison Jones rounded out his spectacular season with a tenth-place finish on the platform to score seven more points for Arizona State. Jones earned two All-American accolades on the weekend, placing fifth in both the 1- and 3-meter springboard dives. Between Jones and junior Riley McCormick, the men’s diving team earned all 53 points for Arizona State, the most points from a diving team in the entire field at NCAAs.

Junior Alex Coci competed in the 200-yard butterfly for the Sun Devils. Coci was just over a second from qualifying for the finals, coming in at 1:44.36 to finish 18th overall. Coci set the school record in the 200-yard fly earlier this season, swimming a 1:43.72 at the Pac-12 Championships.

The other Sun Devil to compete in the pool was Thibaut Capitaine, who swam in the 200-yard breaststroke for the Sun Devils and came in at 30th overall in the preliminary round. Capitaine touched with a time of 1:57.64, a couple of seconds off of his previous best, which currently holds the school record.
