MAUI, Hawai’i—The 14th-ranked Arizona State women’s golf team is in fourth place after the second round of the 2013 Anuenue Spring Break Classic. The Sun Devils shot a two-round total of 6-over 582 (289-293). The Washington Huskies have moved into first at 3-under heading into the final round.
Sophomore Noemi Jimenez continues to lead ASU out on the golf course. Jimenez is tied for third place after shooting a 2-over 74 in the second round for a two-round total of 3-over 141 (67-74). Junior Laura Blanco matched her first round total, shooting back-to-back 73’s for a two-day total of 2-over 146 (73-73) tying for 17th. Junior Daniela Ordonez moved into a tie for 25th after shooting 73 in the second round for a 36-hole total of 3-over 146.
Jimenez, Blanco and Ordonez’ scores place three Sun Devils in the top-25 in the tournament heading into the final round of competition at the par-72, 6,036-yard Kapalua Bay Course.
