PALOS VERDES, Calif.--The 10th-ranked Arizona State women's golf team finished in 12th place at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge, Wednesday, in Palos Verdes, Calif. The Sun Devils shot a three-round total of 68-over 920 (305-310-305) at the par-71, 6,017-yard Palos Verdes Golf Club.
Sophomore Noemi Jimenez led the Sun Devils, shooting a 7-over 220 (76-73-71) for the tournament. Jimenez tied for ninth place overall for her second top-10 finish on the season. The sophomore recorded six birdies on the day including one on her final hole to bump Jimenez to even par for the round. Junior Laura Blanco finished in a tie for 25th after shooting a three-round total of 12-over 225 (77-73-75).
The Sun Devils return to action next week as they travel to Northern California to compete in the Cal Invitational, hosted by the University of California, in Pleasanton, Calif., Feb. 25-27.
