PALOS VERDES, Calif.—The 10th-ranked Arizona State women’s golf team heads into the final round of competition in a tie for 14th place. The Sun Devils shot 310 in the second round for a two-day total of 47-over 615 (305-310). Arizona State is positioned in a tight contest where eight teams are separated by as many as 10 strokes apart.

Sophomore Noemi Jimenez led the Sun Devils on the second day and is the highest placing golfer for ASU heading into the final round. Jimenez’ carded four birdies on the day to shoot a 2-over 73 to hold a two-round total of 7-over 149 (76-73). Tied for 30th, junior Laura Blanco also shot a 73 in the second round. Blanco is just one shot off Jimenez, shooting an 8-over 150 (77-73).

The Sun Devils, who are two-time champions of the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge, are missing junior honorable mention All-American Justine Lee due to recuperation from wrist surgery.
