PALOS VERDES, Calif.—The 10th-ranked Arizona State women’s golf team is in ninth place after the first round of competition at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge, hosted by Ohio State, in Palos Verdes, Calif., Monday. The Sun Devils shot a 21-over 305 on the par-71, 6,017-yard Palos Verdes Golf Club.

Junior Noemi Jimenez, playing in the No. 1 spot in the line-up, shot a 5-over 76 tying her for 35th. Junior Laura Blanco is tied for 43rd, shooting 6-over 77 on day one.

The Sun Devils, who are two-time champions of the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge, are missing junior honorable mention All-American Justine Lee due to recuperation from wrist surgery.
