Final Results

TEMPE, Ariz. - The Arizona State swimming and diving team suffered a loss in their final dual meet of the regular season, an away meet against rival Arizona, with final scores of 179-105 in the men's meet and 203-92 in the women's.

The Sun Devil men notched victories in the 1000 free, 200 fly and both diving contests. ASU swept the long distance event behind Karl Boscacci, Alex Palumbo, Sean Niccolucci and Brendan Weiner placing first through fourth respectively. Alex Coci got the victory for the men in the 200 fly, and Harrison Jones finished four points ahead of Arizona's Rafael Quintero in the 3-meter dive to effectively sweep the diving events.

The women were unable to garner a victory throughout the meet as Arizona came out strong and finished first in all events. Tristin Baxter finished second in the 1000 free and 200 fly events, while Cassie Morrice touched second in the 500 free eight seconds ahead of Baxter. Caroline Kuczynski, Tory Houston and Robyn Matthews placed 2-3-4 in the 200 IM behind Arizona's Chelsey Salli to score.

The swimming and diving team next sees action at the Pac-12 Championships in Federal Way, Wash. The women will compete from Feb. 27 to March 2 and the men will follow with March 6-9.
