TULSA, Okla.--The fourth-ranked Arizona State women's golf team shot a 2-over 866 (280-292-294) at the Dale McNamara Invitational to take home the team championship at the tournament named for head coach Melissa Luellen's mother.

Luellen said one of the main goals of the season was to win and the Sun Devils accomplished that right off the bat. Arizona State takes its first team championships since winning the Donnis Thompson Invitational in March of 2011.

Sun Devil junior Daniela Ordonez led the way shooting a consistent 3-under 213 (71-71-71) and recording three-straight rounds under par to finish in second place. Ordonez is the first ASU golfer since Carlota Ciganda, at the 2009 NCAA West Regional (67-68-71), to shoot all three rounds under par.

Junior Laura Blanco carded the highest finish of her career, finishing in a tie for sixth place with an even-par 216 (70-72-74). The first round of the tournament also marked a career-low for sophomore Noemi Jimenez, who shot a six birdies in the round to score a 67.

The Dale McNamara Invitation is named for Luellen's mother, the long-time head coach of Tulsa and a National Golf Coaches Hall of Fame inductee. Under her mother, Lullen won both a team and individual NCAA Championship with the Golden Hurricane.

Next up, the Sun Devils head to the Farm to compete in the Stanford Intercollegiate, Oct. 19-21.
