TULSA, Okla.--After separating itself from the rest of the competition in the first round of the Dale McNamara Invitational, eighth-ranked Arizona State continued to widen the gap on day two. The Sun Devils shot 4-over on the day for a two-round total of 4-under 572 (280-292), which gives ASU a 21-stroke lead over second-place Oklahoma State.
Giulia Molinaro remains a top the tournament leaderboard for the second-consecutive round at 8-under 136 (67-69). The senior carded a three-under 69 on Tuesday, making back-to-back birdies on the final two holes to drop three strokes below par. Molinaro has an eight stroke lead over her next competitor heading into the final round.
Sophomores Daniela Ordonez and Justine Lee remained tied for second place at even-par 144 (70-74), with both golfers shooting 2-over on day two. Tied for 10th place, freshman Noemi Jimenez shot a 3-over 75 in the second round for a two-day total of 4-over 148 (73-75). Sophomore Brittany McKee rounds out the Sun Devil line-up with a two-round total of 17-over 161 (77-84).
The final round of the Dale McNamara Invitational, hosted by the University of Tulsa, concludes tomorrow at the 6,626-yard, par-72 Patriot Golf Club.
