Assistant Coach Ken Knutson
Opening statement:
"It was a very exciting game obviously. Tim said something to the team. The team has had problems coming back this season. Once we get the lead we've been awfully good. I think it was our tremendous come back. We're really excited about it. The kids never gave up. Brady kept us in the game the whole day. We had the great swing from Joey [DeMichele]. The right guy to be up there with the season he had. I thought New Mexico was awesome and his kid pitched great. We really didn't have any answers for him."
On the altered call in the ninth:
"It turned out right. I think we were more concerned with the fact that we had guys on first and second with no outs. It was what it was. It was a tough call."
On New Mexico's Jaramillo:
He kept popping us up. With these new bats you can't hit them in the air. We made adjustments early. But we found a way to win and that's the most important thing.
On his walk off home run:
"It's great. I'm just happy to help my team win. It was pretty special. I have a great bunch of team mates and a great bunch of coaches. We all want to win and it's great to be around. No complaints so far."
Pitcher Brady Rodgers
On his composure:
"I just tried to not let my emotions get a hold of me and they started to in the two-run inning. I just settled back down and kept the team and game. I just knew we would come back out on top with a victory. All the guys were saying, `We're not going to lose this game. We're going to win in a walk-off fashion.' Our team didn't let us down."
