DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.—The 10th-ranked Arizona State women’s golf team earned its 20th-consecutive NCAA Championship bid Saturday as the Sun Devils finished third overall at the NCAA East Regional in Daytona Beach, Fla. ASU shot 7-over for the tournament (295-288-288-871), shooting back-to-back even par rounds to close out the competition.

Freshman Daniela Ordonez finished in a career-best tie for third individually. Carding five birdies on the day, the Colombian fired back-to-back career-low rounds of 70 to finish the tournament at even par.

In a model of consistency, juniors Carlota Ciganda, Giulia Molinaro and freshman Justine Lee all finished the competition at 4-over to tie for 20th with a three round total of 220. Molinaro shot the low-round of the day out of the group with a 1-under 71 to finish up the tournament.

Joining Arizona State out of the NCAA East Regional will be: Alabama, North Carolina, Coastal Carolina, Purdue, Florida and Vanderbilt. The 2011 NCAA women’s golf Championship, hosted by Texas A&M, will be held in Bryan, Texas, May 17-20.
