O'AHU, Hawaii--The Arizona State women's golf leads the field at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational after two rounds of golf at the par-72, 5,907 yard Kane'ohe Klipper Golf Course. The Sun Devils shot a 36-round total of 10-over 586 (293-293) to finish the second day in first place.
Junior Carlota Ciganda shot a 68 in the first round to propel her into first place individually. The All-American finished with a two-round total of 2-under 142 (68-74), one stroke ahead of Arizona's Alejandra Llaneza.
Freshman Justine Lee is tied for third heading into the final round of competition. The Australian shot a consistent 73-72 for the two-round total of 1-over 145. Junior Giulia Molinaro is tied for 14th after two rounds of play with a total of 7-over 151.
The final round of the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational concludes tomorrow in O'ahu, Hawai'i.
